Food not to eat when travelling
The chances are that during your trip you will pass through areas with lower standards of hygiene than your body is used to.
To minimise the chances of slight discomfort as well as serious illness you should observe the following rules when eating food abroad:
Do not eat the following foods:
- DON'T eat salads or raw vegetables.
- DON'T eat shellfish.
- DON'T eat ice-cream.
- DON'T put ice in drinks.
- DON'T drink unpasteurised milk.
- DON'T eat foods that have been left uncovered (flies will transfer faeces to food).
...and DON'T drink the tap water!
