| Tips | The main areas that may cause difficulties are in the Red Centre where temps can reach the late 30's by early morning. Access to Ayers Rock may be withdrawn due to the high temperatures. Flooding around Katherine in the north could also restrict your travel in that area in the wet season (Jan). |

| Tips | Even though it is still possible to trek in the monsoon season you may be restricted by flooding on paths. Even though the rains wash the dust out of the air your views of the mountains will be restricted by the cloud cover. |
