	Eiffel Tower You must do the Eiffel Tower. Even if you don't climb it, it's great to be underneath it. There are 3 viewing platforms and if you're feeling fit you can climb the stairs instead of taking the lift! 	Sacre-Coeur The Sacre-Coeur basilica on top of Montmartre is my favourite place in Paris. The walk up the streets with boutique shops and cafes adds to the experience. Explore the surrounding lanes and markets and wind back down the hill down the characterful steps. Great views across to the Eiffel Tower so go back up there in the evening for sunset and a light-display.	Flights Hotels Hostels Tours
	Montmartre Montmartre is the bohemian area with cool cafes, bars, shops and restaurants. Even the seedy area over by the Moulin Rouge is fun. If you want spectacular and garish cabaret, this is the place.	Flights Hotels Hostels Tours
	Arc de Triomphe and Champs d'Elysee Designer shops and cool restaurants line the Champs d'Elysee. Go up the big wheel at the end near the Place de Concord.	Flights Hotels Hostels Tours
	Notre Dame and Ilse de la Cité Notre Dame cathedral is a spectacular place to visit and the islands offer a peaceful place to have a drink in a cafe.	Flights Hotels Hostels Tours
	Galleries and Museums The Pompidou centre with it's wierd 'inside-out' architecture has funky modern art, whereas the Louvre is worth a visit even if you don't see the Mona Lisa. The Musee D'Orsay is a lovely place by the river with a good collection and an amazing clock through which you can see the Eifel Tower.	Flights Hotels Hostels Tours
	St Germain and Odeon A Great area just south Notre Dame with lots of cool shops, cafes and bars. A great place to base yourself.	Flights Hotels Hostels Tours

Where to stay in Paris

	Le General hotel, Le Republique A design hotel at reasonable prices, but like most Parisian hotels the rooms are pretty small.	Website
	Le Petit Moulin, Le Marais Super funky / crazy / romantic hotel in the new up and coming area.	Website

Where to eat and drink in Paris

	Le Pub, St Germain More than just a pub! A great place to have dinner (very nice burgers) as well as a drink. Each floor is designed differently and impressively.	Website
	Kong Phillipe Stark designed bar and restaurant just off the main shopping street and overlooking the river. Great for pre-dinner cocktails.	Website
	Murano Urban Resort Super-funky, chic bar, restaurant and hotel.	Website

Getting around Paris

When you arrive into Gard du Nord from the Eurostar, go downstairs and buy a book of 10 Metro tickets (Underground) that can be used at anytime. The rest of the time just walk around and get lost!
