What are some of the main rules of the World Walkabout ticket?

Which airlines can I fly with?

British Airways, Qantas, Air Pacific.

NOTE: When you book your flights online you will probably fly on code-share flights.

How long can I take?

The World Walkabout ticket is valid for 12 months from the date of the first flight.

Maximum mileage

There is a maximum mileage allowance of either 25,000 miles or 29,000 miles on the World Walkabout fare, depending which fare is selected.

How many stops can I have?

6 stops (including Australia / New Zealand), with a maximum of 1 stop in Australia and 1 stop in New Zealand.

You must go to either Australia or New Zealand, and then can choose stops in either direction in either Asia, Africa, North America or South America.

For example, you could go out via Asia and back via America, or out via South America and back via North America (if within mileage), or just out and back via Asia...

Surface sectors count as one stop. So flying into Bangkok and out from Singapore counts as one stop. Take a look at some of the exciting tours you can include to make your World Walkabout round the world flights more exciting.

If you want an extra stop you will have to upgrade to a Global Explorer or other round the world ticket. If you require extra flights in Oz/NZ you can buy extra domestic flights with Qantas' Walkabout Pass.
